January 2, 2005: There is a new diary entry up today. Bill reflects on many topics, and takes care to mention his participation in an auction to be held with proceeds going to the victims of the Indian Ocean disaster.
December 29, 2004: Just before the end of the year Bill provides us with a nice, lengthy diary entry.
December 15, 2004: Bill has given us a new diary entry in which he talks about the Populus show and other recent events.
December 5, 2004: No diary yet, but we do get some important information from various sources that I'm sure you'll be pleased to hear. Ian Gilby, of Sound-On-Sound Magazine, Phil Graham, of Rooms With Brittle Views web site, and Astralwerks Records all have good news to share in the News Section. Or, just click on the hotlinks associated with each name above.
November 22, 2004: Bill has provided us with a diary entry in which he talks about growing up and some fond memories he has of his father from those times. He also talks about the Univertsity of Leeds guitar show this coming weekend. And what would a Bill Nelson diary be without early details about the next album he is thinking about? Go read.
November 12, 2004: The Tour is over, the fans are happy, and Bill reflects on the whole shebang in a series of four, yes, FOUR, diary entries in the past week. i have been on vacation myself and so was unable to update the diary in a timely manner. So go over there right now and read what he has to say. In addition, Bill's speaking engagement at Leeds University on November 27 has been expanded to include a 30 minute solo guitar set. Check out the Live! section for more information.
October 4, 2004: There is a new diary entry in which Bill reports on the first show at Sheffield. Talks about the problems with sound and monitors, and also reflects on why he's doing this tour now. Makes for a good read.
September 28, 2004: Bill has provided an interesting diary with preparations for the upcoming tour. It sounds like all is going pretty good right, and I find it hard to wait the final few weeks! In addition, Bill's diary, Confessions of a Hyperdreamer has shipped to pre-orders. It is available on the Pomona web site, and there is a link in the Books section with a link to purchase the book online. Finally, two MORE shows have been added to the tour! Yes, Bill Nelson and the Lost Satellites will be performing on Friday October 30th in Newcastle and in London on the 31st! So, you have a couple more opportunities to see the tour. Head over to the Live! section for links to the appropriate venues.
September 20, 2004: Because of a technical error there are, not one, but TWO diary entries to read today. Bill has kindly taken a few minutes out of his schedule to give us an update on the preparations for the upcoming tour. I also corrected some errors in the Be Bop Deluxe (like adding Sunburst Finish to the list of re-re-re-re-releases), and Live sections, the most noticeable is the addition of the Edinburgh show on the 28th. I don't know how I missed that one, but it's now up and ready for action.

September 15, 2004: Well, there have been two diary entries in the past few days and both are now ready for reading. I also added entries to the Be Bop Deluxe section dealing with the forthcoming "Postcards from the Future" CD and the re-re-re-re-re-release of five of the six Be Bop CD's. Links to Amazon.co.uk are included in the Record Store page.
September 6, 2004: An update by Pomona Books on the imminent release of Bill's book 'Diary of a Hyperdreamer.' They give more details about the book, such as number of pages, format of the entries, special words from Bill's family and friends, and a couple of other things. Just go to the Bill's Books page and read it for yourself.

August 18, 2004: Pomona Books has announced that they are now taking pre-orders for Bill's book 'Diary of a Hyperdreamer' through their web site. To reflect this I've added a new option to the Start page to go to Bill's Books.
August 16, 2004: Bill has given us a new diary entry, lots of interesting details about the upcoming tour. Enough information to satisfy even the most die-hard fan. Also removed the old diary entries, from September 1999 through August 2003 in preparation for their publication as "Diary of a Hyperdreamer," possibly later this year!
August 7, 2004: We have a new diary entry. Bill is working himself to the bitter end to get everything ready for the Fall tour. Also, updated a few items on the Live! page regarding URL's of the venues where they will be playing. Have you ordered your Nelsonica '04 tickets yet?

August 1, 2004: Bill has provided a song from the new Satellite Songs album for mp3 download. Follow this link to the Rooms with Brittle Views page for a link to download the song. It sounds quite good.
July 26, 2004: Bill has submitted a new diary entry with some news that I won't give away here, you'll have to read it yourself. Plus talk about all the preparations for the Be Bop Deluxe and Beyond Tour and all that Bill has going on. Updates to the Live! and Discography sections with information about song tracks, etc.
July 9, 2004: Concert Dates and Venues! We've received a list of cities and venues for October's Bill Nelson and the Lost Satellites tour. You can find the information here.
July 4, 2004: Bill has a new diary entry today. He talks about the busy schedule he has getting ready for the 'Be Bop Deluxe and Beyond' Tour this Fall. Along with new albums (yes, plural), time for The Satellites to practice, CD's to master, and on and on. Where does he get the time to give us these diary updates?
June 22, 2004: Bill has provided a track listing for the Lost Satellites album they will be recording to be released with The Tour later this fall. We have a working title, 'Satellite Songs', and a track listing. Check out the Satellite Songs page in the Discography section for additional information. As we get more information details will show up on the Satellite Songs page, so check it now and then.
June 11, 2004: Bill will be interviewed at the PopuLUs show with Leeds University, UK in November. Check the Live! section for additional information.
June 10, 2004: Bill has finally been able to free up a few minutes to provide us with a new diary entry, and it covers a lot of exciting plans for the next six months or so. Not just Nelsonica, but an album from The Lost Satellites AND The Lost Satellites Tour (including "penciled-in" cities where they are likely to play), Bill's diary in book form, "Diary of a Hyperdreamer", and some nice photos of Reighton. The photos will generate a lot of interest, it's a side of Bill that we haven't seen much of.
May 9, 2004: Bill is back from the Soave, Italy trip and has detailed the events in a new diary entry. Also included are a couple of shots Bill took during the trip.
April 27, 2004: Bill has given us a new diary entry, just before he leaves for the Soave Guitar Fair. With the latest diary entry is another photo by Bill, this time of the lovely Humber Bridge.
April 22, 2004: A new diary entry has been posted. Bill has finalized the set list for the Italy show and gives it here. Also has included a couple of photos from the Humber/Ferriby area.
April 18, 2004: Another quick diary entry. Bill talks quite a bit about the Italy trip and some apprehensions he has regarding such. And an interesting article he read in Guitar Player magazine about Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and comments on them versus his own 'Practically Wired' and 'After the Satellite Sings.' Also, Alan Myers, of the Rooms with Brittle Views web site will be interviewing long time Bill Nelson friend John Leckie. The fans have been invited to submit questions for John, and any wishing to do so should send an email to the following address: caretaker@billnelson.co.uk But, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, no more than a couple of questions per person. Do NOT send an email with thirty questions. It could just defeat your intent and get ignored because you're trying to take too big a piece of pie.
April 15, 2004: There is a new diary entry. Bill talks about the various projects he's trying to wrap up before his Italy trip and the possible Lost Satellites tour this fall.
April 6, 2004: We received a new diary entry. Bill reluctantly talks about the current discussion board 'politics' regarding the perceived high cost and limited release of the upcoming 'Dreamland to Starboard' and the past few albums. Added pages in discography section with 'Dreamland to Starboard' as well as the next album, 'Custom Deluxe'. Also added links to the pages for 'Atom Shop' and 'What Now, What Next' to purchase from the remaining inventory, now available via the Rooms with Brittle Views web site.

March 31, 2004: A new diary entry. Bill talks about a recent encounter on a train platform. He also gives us the first track listing to the new guitar album: 'Custom Deluxe.' A few other thoughts and observations, I especially appreciate his comments about 'summer time' ('Daylight Savings Time' to the rest of us Yanks).
March 23, 2004: Bill mentions in a new diary entry that 'Dreamland to Starboard' is done! The track listing has been finalized, John Spence has mastered all tracks, and the artwork is almost ready. The discography section has been updated to reflect this latest information, along with the bad news that 'Plaything' is now sold out. You waited too long, bucko!
March 12, 2004: Bill is in treating us with many diary entries this month. And i, for one, am not about to complain. Especially when he treats us to the sort of goodies in today's entry. We have a track listing for 'Dreamland to Starboard', formerly known as 'The Art School Ascended On Vapours Of Roses'. Plus he mentions at least two more albums he intends to provide us with this year: One for him as solo artist, and one for The Lost Satellites band in conjunction with this year's 'Axe Victim' retrospective tour.
March 6, 2004: Added a new diary entry by Bill. He waxes poetic about the new album, still tentatively called 'Dreamland to Starboard.' He is quite proud of this album, and is very interested how it will be received by his adoring fans. (You know, US.) Also updated a few dead links, especially those to the Rooms With Brittle Views Chat and Discussion boards.

March 3, 2004: A new diary entry with Bill giving more insights, and a new track listing for the upcoming 'Dreamland to Starboard'. The man also mentions the 'Plurality of Planets' (will open a new window) searchable database residing on the Rooms With Brittle Views web site (will open a new window). It's an interesting source of information.
February 26, 2004: A new diary entry was added, lots of fine reminiscences about his childhood, and the houses in which the family lived. Also talk about the next album, tentatively titled 'The Art School Ascended on Vapours of Roses'. And why Bill is thinking of changing that title.
February 5, 2004: New diary entry, Bill talks about his visit to the Carlsbro Amp factory. He included a marvelous photo he took while visiting the Tate Modern.
December 8, 2003: Added a new diary entry. Bill talks about finishing work on 'Plaything' and possibilities for 'The Romance of Sustain, Volume 2'. Bill also talks about the show he will be performing at the Mick Jagger Arts Centre in Dartford on January 25th.

November 27, 2003: Added a new diary entry in which Bill talks about the recently re-aired Lucky Sunil program for which he did the music. Bill also explains the reason behind the name change for the next album from DISTORTION to PLAYTHING. Also re-did some of the album pages in the discography with improved graphics.
November 19, 2003: New diary entry from Bill, speaks from the heart and clears up some confusion that existed with the final Romance of Sustain concert in Leeds last month. Also we get the title of the next album, DISTORTION, which results in some updates to the Discography section. Bill talks about a couple of the songs he has for the new album, and it sounds good to me.
November 14, 2003: Added a new diary entry, Bill talks about his current projects and gives a listing of tracks for an as yet unnamed new album. He also mentions his work with Pomona Books on the project to get his diaries into book format. Also added links on the News page to Pomona and to a Hagstrom Guitar web site that features Bill in a photo with his Hagstrom from the 70's.
October 28, 2003: Updated the Live! section to reflect that the tour is over and we're on to new projects. Also included a new diary entry.
October 18, 2003: Cleaned up the Start page and several of the Discography and Live! pages. Also updated the "Where Are They Now?" pages to include an entry for Ian Nelson and Moonstone.

October 13, 2003: Added new diary entry with Bill's reflections on the concerts at Windsor and Deal. He also adds a couple of more words about everyone's favorite sybarite, Mark Rye. Also added links in the discography section with a review of Whimsy, and the inclusion of Be Bop Deluxe's "Ships In The Night" on an album from the Progressive Archives web site called "The Greatest Prog Rock Album In The World...Ever.
October 2, 2003: A smallish diary entry with an amusing reflection on "growing older", plus some good news about the publication of Bill's diary entries in book format.
September 28, 2003: Diary entry detailing this past weeks concerts in Alnwick and Sheffield. Bill also mentions, semi-officially, the possibility of a The Lost Satellites tour next year sometime around the UK.

September 17, 2003: What's the important thing here? That we have a new diary entry just before N03 kicks off, or that Bill talks about the fact that The Lost Satellites ARE playing, and a longer set than last year? Hmm, hard to say. Just go read the diary entry to decide for yourselves...
August 21, 2003: Started on revamping all pages in the Discography section. This is a work in progress, during which i will be creating pages for each and every Bill Nelson album, and changing the existing pages to match a new, uniform look for the section. i don't know about the session work yet... Also added Bill's latest diary entry.
August 17, 2003: i've made several corrections to missing/bad links. But i didn't get them all. A lot of the old catalog has gone out of print (again), and i'm still checking on all the links. Please bear with me, and please report any bad links you find. Bill has a new diary entry, talking about the recent private viewing of "Flashlight Dreams and Fleeting Shadows", preparations for N03, and the Romance tour. In the diary entry Bill refers to an article in 'The Independent' magazine, i've included the link for the full article in the News Page.

July 17, 2003: Whimsy is shipping from Voiceprint. i've updated the Discography and Record Store pages to reflect this. There are still tickets available for Nelsonica, the place where Bill might be laying with a band this year. All other shows are Bill and backing tapes.
June 30, 2003: We have a new diary entry out today. Bill is, again, working overtime to get ready for Nelsonica, and the tour. A good read. Are your travel plans for Nelsonica done? There are still a few tickets, so order yours today. Go here.
June 21, 2003: Alan Myers has sent along important information about tickets for Nelsonica '03. They're selling real fast, and it looks to be another sold-out event. a lengthy hiatus, taking care of more important tasks, Bill has provided a new diary

May 11, 2003: Bill provides a new diary entry, telling of the passing away of Emiko's father. A heartfelt writing. And some information on the next two-CD project Bill's working on...
May 9, 2003: The "Several Famous Orchestras" project by Mark Rushton is now available for sale through Mark's web site. There are a total of three CD's available. MP3's are out there for downloading, as are each of the three CD's.
May 3, 2003: New diary entry from the land of the rising sun. The situation with Emiko's father slowly marches on. Bill has some poignant words on life, death, et al. Some pretty revealing thoughts are captured in the diary.

April 23, 2003: Bill has sent a new diary entry from Japan. Details about the further adventures of 'Bill and Emiko's Bogus Airport Hassles.' Bill does make mention of new projects and ideas what he's looking for, sounds interesting.
April 9, 2003: New diary entry. In it Bill talks about the situation with Emiko's father and their heading off to Japan. Also gives updates on forthcoming projects, including 'Whimsy' and the DVD.
April 4, 2003: A long and very detailed diary entry regaling us all with the fiasco in México. Lots of good reading.
March 14, 2003: New diary entry covering Bill's last-minute travails to get ready for the Mexico City show. Also gives some nice memories of seeing Be Bop Deluxe on 'The Old Grey Whistle Test' repeat which ran a couple of weeks ago in the UK.
