January 2000:
Bill guests on an upcoming album collaboration between Fila Brazilia and Harold Budd.
Bill worked with a band called ‘Sea Of Wires’ with some production and guitar contributions. They spent two days working on a song called ‘The Sunglass’. Bill mixed it.
Worked on sequencing of tracks for Noise Candy.

Bill's thinking of buying a Mac G4 for his video editing.
Gave a talk to students at Salford University (closed to the public).

March 2000:

Be Bop Deluxe's Tramcar To Tomorrow is released in the US on March 21st.
It's available at Amazon.com.
Tony Brainsby, a well-known figure in the British music business who acted as publicist for Be-Bop-Deluxe during the 1970's and for Bill during the early 1980's died recently. His obituary was carried in the Independent on Wednesday, March 15th.
During the last week of February and the first week of March, Bill composed music for three US television ads for Xpedior.com.which were broadcast during the NCAA Men's Basketball Finals. Bill will be doing further advertisement composition work in the coming weeks.

April 2000:
On April 2nd, a Bill Nelson Online Radio Station was created by Chuck Bird.
Sequencing complete for Noise Candy, a 6CD boxed set.
Bill goes to London to see a demonstration of the new Mackie system.
Bill becomes a grandfather on April 17th with the birth of a baby boy, Luke William, by Bill's daughter Julia.
5th wedding anniversary for Bill and Emiko on April 21st.
Bill produced the new HoneyTone Cody album at Fairview Studios, Believe In The Promise Of Tomorrow, at the end of April, beginning of May. Bill's "audio track", played at the beginning of HTC gigs, will be a "secret" track on the CD.
May 2000:

Bill has received his new G4 Mac on the 5th.
Noise Candy is mastered at Fairview Studios.

On May 18th, a fan-coordinated purchase of
Bill's old home studio equipment was completed by Stewart
Gray and Derek Walklate.
June 2000:

Whistling While The World Turns,
A limited edition single CD release of some of tracks from Noise Candy was
released on Lenin
Imports on the 16th. Later, this CD is available via Amazon.com.
Working on videos with the Mac and Final Cut Pro.
Bill starts surfing the web.

July 2000:
More work on the videos.
E.M.I. Records looked like they were going to re-release Futurama and Drastic Plastic, but this was pulled.
Bill plans a holiday in the South of France for September.
August 2000:

Big Yellow Moon is released as an
official MP3 "single" from Whistling While The World Turns

Honeytone Cody's new CD is called Believe In The Promise Of Tomorrow and features 5 songs plus a 'secret' Bill Nelson track.
Bill and Emiko go on their holiday to the South of France, read about it in the September 4th diary entry.
September 2000:
Permanent Flame begins hosting Bill's Diary.

Bill loaned a couple of his guitars for exhibition on October 1st called 'Six Silver Strings', which raised money for charity in Dublin, Ireland.
Lenin Imports announces that Simplex will be released/re-released in the coming months.
Bill's new label imprint will be Toneswoon Records, which Simplex and Noise Candy will come out under.
Jon Wallinger writes a "preview" of Noise Candy.
Bill christens the new Discussion Board the "International Forum Of Nelsonians".

announced that an album of music featuring a young Bill Nelson will be released
early in 2001, called Electrotype.
