BILL RECOMMENDS:

My home is absolutely filled to the brim with books, albums, DVDs, objects, art and ephemera. High and low and in-between cultural clutter that threatens to expel Emiko and myself from our habitat. For many years I've thought of trying to catalogue it all but it would be a time-consuming and virtually impossible task, not least because it is constantly being added to.

Nevertheless, I've decided to make selected lists of recommended items from my collection of books, records and films which may be of interest to my fans, if only to throw some light on my inspirations and enthusiasms and, hopefully, turn you on to something interesting.

This first list will deal exclusively with BOOKS. I've chosen these particular titles because of my interest in their subject matter and the enjoyment they've given me personally. Of course, this is a list which will continue to expand as and when time allows me to add to it. This is just the start.
However the intention is not to catalogue my entire library but simply to pick out a fraction of the books that might help inform and illuminate fans of my music.

I will create a similar list for MUSIC and for FILM at a later date.

All these lists will be in the form of a locked thread, here in the forum. Any comments or questions should be posted in the usual fashion as a separate topic, elsewhere.

I hope that these ever expanding lists will provide an interesting reference source and offer some clues as to my creative inspiration.
