I haven't quite figured out where I am at, today..........so I'll tell you that having spent the day yesterday, in the garden - my single Bill Nelson track of the day, had to be Summer Hums In The Bee-Loud Glade. 8)

Here's hoping that other Nelsonians will be inspired to share with us, their Single Bill Nelson Track Of The Day........... :)

I was checking out the lyrics of 'Rocket To Damascus' from After The Sattelite Sings a couple days ago, to
quote Bill on another forum

"Electricity made us angels
And money made us fools
But fear of future jackaled us
With Gods who ride the backs of mules

Wake up or leave the planet (etc."

Always loved the lyrics , searing guitar work .
There are even marimbas , and if it had more cowbell,
wadcorp would think it's perfect .

This one of those ones that, the first few times I heard it ,
my reaction was "WTF kind of freaky music is THIS  :? :?: "

Transcend Transmit Transmute
Wake up or leave the planet
Attenuate , Goddammit

(I mean it  )

If I remember correctly, the mule riding also occurs in "A Luminous Kind Of Guy". Oh, and 'shackled'. I think the jackled version was for the Australasian market only. :P

Bill Nelson track of the day for me is still undecided, but it's between only two -

The Spirit That Remembers

Past And Present (And The Space Between)

Let's call it Past And Present 8)

Right

'I have no time for fools
I've got my doubts about
Gods who ride the backs of mules
It's just a question of deception'

Love that line.

The image appears in a couple of other tracks, including the one Dar quoted.

'Shackled,' (not 'Jackaled') is the correct word and meaning... :)
