Many humans do them out of time too...

One of those points in a session when my heart sinks....and where many band members realize they have no sense of rhythm. :D
Other points include....
"let's all do some backing vocals"
"I haven't practiced this"
"I'm still writing the lyrics"
"let's leave the count-in on"
And many more. :D :D :D

Wait ... isn’t there a classic Pop hit we know and love that has a count-in ?

... or am only I thinking of ‘Taxman’ ?

That’s the only one I can conjure up .

‘Taxman’ doesn’t really have a legitimate count-in, though . :)

It’s a cool FAKE count-in .

Never mind .

Could’ve sworn there was one .

The promo film for Talking Heads - 'Nothing But Flowers' leaves the count-in on but I don't remember it being left on, on the record .

The Roy Wood b-side, Music To Commit Suicide By, has a 1-2-3, 1-2-3 count at the beginning.

As for 'hits' having count-ins, another Beatles track, I Saw Her Standing There, has a 1-2-3-4 intro.

Kraftwerk's "Showroom Dummies" kicks off with "ein, zwei, drei, vier".

A nod to the Ramones, apparently.

As does "World Destruction (12-in.)" by Time Zone.

The Ramones made the count-in something special and entertaining.

Peter Gabriel's 'Games Without Frontiers' counts in with '1, 2....1, 2, 4'!

There's also an Eddi Reader song (Name escapes me) which start '1,2 miss a few'

Help me, please!

The last few posts have reminded me of a song, which I know is very familiar to me but which I can't quite remember.

Quite energetic, possibly even punk rock or from around that time. Comes to an abrupt stop, someone yells "ichi ni san shi!", and they're off again.

There may well be a few like that, but I'll know the one that I'm thinking off as soon as you tell me.

Please help!
