I've just watched Plectronica but was a bit disappointed to be cut off before what I envisaged would be the end!

Agree! But enjoyed the event from afar anyway!
Happy birthday, Bill!

Note sure about that. It ended after the reading of congradulation letters and the gifts to Bill. Then the video ended with John asking if anybody lost a hotel key....was something else missed ? I thought that was the end...?

Same for me. Then the credits rolled.

The show was fine for the majority of viewers but we understand a few people had some streaming problems. We're sorry but these are out of our control and due to internet network traffic issues around the world.

I'm pleased to announce that the 4 hour show is now available to view On-Demand.

Here are some useful time markers.

Show start 6 mins
Bill Solo Set, on stage @ 9 min 45 sec
Ochestra Futura on stage @ 1hr 5 mins
Concert end @ 1 hr 50 mins
Intermission video starts @ 1 hr 54 mins
Bill Interview starts @ 3 hrs 20 mins
Birthday Tributes 3 hrs 50 mins
Interview ends 4 hrs 2 mins
Birthday presentation
Event ends @ 4 hrs 6 mins

If you paid to watch the live stream you have free access until 31st December.
If you missed the show you can pay now and watch it on demand.

The overwhelming response to the live stream has been extremely positive.

Sadly, there have been one or two complaints, one person actually threatening legal action because they'd 'tuned in' to the wrong time of the live stream due to US/UK time differences and hadn't been able to view it.

It had certainly been noted that the time of the event was listed as 'UK Time' and not US or anywhere else in the world time, so people should have, (and in fact did, ) work out what the time difference should be. I'm afraid it's a little unfair to come down so heavy on us for that. However, it has been pointed out that those who paid to watch the live stream have access to the repeat viewings from today, so perhaps that may compensate for it. But, to be honest, it really wasn't our fault.

Another person said that Ian Haydock's interview 'spoiled' the event...Which is, if I may say so, a terribly mean and unfair comment. I personally thought that Ian's questions were absolutely first class, absolutely top notch, and worthy of any professional music journalist. I've been interviewed by far less perceptive people in the past but Ian's questions were a total delight and I throughly enjoyed answering them.

There have been lots and lots of favourable comments on Facebook. I've been overwhelmed by them and am so thrilled to hear that the event meant so much to so many people. I'm deeply grateful for all the kindness and love I've been shown as a result and want to sincerely thank all who participated in some way. I'll remember it forever...

I'm shocked to read about those complaints  THAT is beyond strange and not even worthy of comment.

The live stream worked perfect even for some of us who arent particularly good at computers or like me, who
have never before paid for a live on line event. It was fool proof.

AND...the event was as close to perfection as you will ever see or hear. I was beyond happy to experience this
event and can only hope that you will do it again next year, so maybe I can show up this time.

Salud and chears to all involved !

I believe that the customary response in such cases is to refer the complainant "to the reply given in the case of Arkell vs Pressdram".

http://www.lettersofnote.com/2013/08/arkell-v-pressdram.html

For those who don't know, this is a legendary exchange of letters - it never became a court case - between someone (Arkell) threatening to sue the UK satirical magazine Private Eye.

The letter from the complainant's solicitor ended thus:
"Mr Arkell's first concern is that there should be a full retraction at the earliest possible date in Private Eye and he will also want his costs paid. His attitude to damages will be governed by the nature of your reply."

Private Eye's response was this:
"We note that Mr Arkell's attitude to damages will be governed by the nature of our reply and would therefore be grateful if you would inform us what his attitude to damages would be, were he to learn that the nature of our reply is as follows: fuck off."
