Hi all,
Does anyone have any information relating to amplification used by Deluxe? I recently rescued a 1970s Fender Bassmaster from certain death in a shed and am currently bringing it back to life (no sound yet!). Once I'd cleaned the top layer of grime and cobwebs off, I discovered the traces of a sprayed on logo for the band on either side of the casing. Could just be coincidence, but the amp is a US model with a fairly complicated (and heavy!) UK transformer conversion. I'd love to find some history for it if anyone can help. Cheers all.

From what I remember, Bill used Carlsbro amps heavily the times I got to see them play live.

Ping Geetar Homer. He probably has much more detailed info than I do at hand.

hth, 'Pod.

Ay up, me ear's are burnin' !
Fender Bassmaster ?? Do you mean Bassman ?
Charlie can be seen on the Modern Music Whistle Test clips using a Fender amp head and it does look to have logo's on the end faces of the case. 8)

Apologies and thanks - Musicmaster Bass is the model - a silver grilled combo. Quite a low end and relatively low powered model in the Fender model range. Cheers for the quick responses so far.

He could have had a combo as well.
Try posting a photo. Bill may recognise it or verify if the logo looks genuine.

Could also be useful if you told us where in the world you are - or where you found it.

UK or USA?

Looks very similar to the logo on Bills Gibson es.345 guitar case. I took a photo of it at Nelsonica 02 8)

I used Carlsbro amps exclusively on UK and US tours. No Fenders.
