We’re sad to announce that SOS will no longer be retailing Bill’s CD any more. Having looked after Bill’s album sales online since 2005, we’re no longer able to continue this service. Our mail order staff have always enjoyed working for Bill and helping fans get their hands on his precious releases but the time has come to pass this on.

Here’s the good news.
We now enter a new era which we believe will provide an even better service as we hand over to Burning Shed. This company have an excellent reputation and already work with many of Bill’s musician friends such as Harold Budd, Roger Eno, Theo Travis and many others. So, he’ll be in good company and you, as fans, can explore their store and find the music of these likeminded artists.
What’s more, the Burning Shed store has a pre-order facility so estimating the number of CDs to press for future releases will help to ensure all fans get a chance to buy.

There is a new dedicated Bill Nelson Store on their site where you will also find albums from other companies such as the Cherry Red (Esoteric) Cocteau re-releases and the newly re-issued Be Bop Deluxe catalogue starting with Sunburst Finish. So, a one-stop-shop for all things ‘Bill’.

Finally, in transporting the stock from SOS to Burning Shed we found a few copies of sold-out rare albums. These have been added to their store at fair but premium prices.

So from this moment, Burning Shed will handle all sales and support queries.

SOS will no longer be actively involved as a business but my brother Ian and I will continue to work with Bill and the Nelsonica team on a personal basis. After all, we are fans too!

Best regards,
Paul and the Sound On Sound team.

Ordered Dynamos and Tremelos. I have no idea how I missed that previously.

Paul, I'm sure we all understand your need to let go of Bill's album sales & focus more on the SOS daily business.

Please know we very much appreciate all the great work SOS has done over the years to insure we get all this great music.

Many thanks!

Thanks for your kind words Wadcorp.
All of our mail order staff over the years have always enjoyed taking orders from all of Bill's fans and, I know that some of you have built up 'cozy' relationships when telephoning the office.
It’s a sad day but we’ve had to stop but, I'm sure going forward, you'll built new relationships with the Burning Shed crew.

SOS decided to stop mail order so that we can focus our time and resources on more website and digital publishing activities as well as our highly successful SynthFest UK exhibition.

I looked very carefully for a company to take over Bill's retailing as I know you all expect a high level of service and support. So, I’m confident that you're all going to be in good hands with Burning Shed as they are specialist in working with independent artists and offer great service.

Their list of clients encompasses a lots of people Bill has recorded with and knows personally so it’s a bit of a ‘mates’ club. As Tim at Burning Shed said to me," we now represent three of the UK’s all time great guitarist, Bill, Phil Manzanera and Robert Fripp".

Best regards
Paul.

Bill will continue to release albums on Bandcamp as Burning Shed are only involved in the CD sales.

I just want to chip in here and say how much I've appreciated Sound on Sound's service with regard to Bill's CDs. They've been an extreme pleasure to deal with. Best wishes for the team and company in the future.

Kevin

Just want to add my thanks to what Wadcorp said.

Fantastic service over the last 14 years.

Good luck for the future of SOS and all who sail in her.

SOS,

Can't thank you enough for helping Bill to get his music to us.

All the best,
TC
