[Recent] Bill songs that quench BBD fans' thirst for BBD

Sometimes I'll be listening to much Bill for several days and a track will make me suddenly realize that amongst the many things it does is it scratches the itch that begs, 'More BBD please' ...

I realise Fancy Planets has been recommended to the fans that are fixed solely on Bill's BBD days and has been placed near the top of the list of the BBD fans' must-have release among other things for easing into more recent Bill material.

It indeed does sneak up on listener in this respect ... !

These numbers today scratched the BBD itch, by surprise [didn't even know I had the BBD itch particularly today]:

The Land of Dreams Is Closed [Track 4 from Fancy Planets]

Dream Cities Of The Heart [Track 12 from Fancy Planets]

I'm going to go with Plectricity here (from Auditoria, disc 3). Not an obvious choice, but it has a lot of the elements that I loved with Be Bop Deluxe (not least that "Holy Christ what is this? It's genius!!" reaction on first listening).

It's maybe not an obvious choice, but I always think that Decimal Point For The Thousand Races, from The Last Of The Neon Cynics album sounds like a Be Bop Deluxe instrumental track...maybe something in the same vein as 'Shine'.

Just gave that a listen during my lunch break, and, yes, I can definitely see what you're getting at. (Another track I particularly like from that album is The Colonel Has an Anti-Decimal Scheme).

She Dreams of Fires [from Fancy Planets]

In addition to Fancy Planets, I can think of two other albums that are definitely in the BBD groove, Satellite Songs and Joy Through Amplification. Highly recommended!

I would add the more recent Kid Flip And The Golden Spacemen to the list. Songs like Wonder of the Age, The Void Beyond the Line, Shine Your Light, Shining Through, and Hello, Hello are all fantastic songs in the BBD vein!
