Due to the age and lack of software updates to this forum, it has become necessary to try out a new forum.

It can be found in the heart of the Dreamsville website :- www.billnelson.com/forum

It may take some getting used to and the familiarity of this forum - which has been around since 2005 - may feel hard to leave behind.

This forum will be left alone for the time being, but it cannot continue forever and will be locked at some point.

So please try out the new forum - if you haven't done so already, you will need to register! Your login details for this forum won't work!!!

I have a question. There are so many awesome posts and historical information present in posts on this forum. Will they be transfered to the new forum? Or is it a completely new slate?

There is no way of transferring all of these posts across to the new forum.

That doesn't mean that the same posts can't be re-created on the new forum...

This forum, even after it being 'locked' will remain as a reference aid (at least for the time being).

Liking the new forum layout Jon...what happens to the pm facility? I couldn’t see it incorporated within the new forum...will it just reside in the old forum? Or have I missed it?

Cheers

Andy

I'd love to log in/ sign up to the new forum. Sadly it won't let me do either. It doesn't recognise my username or password, so I tried to register again but it won't go beyond telling me that it doesn't recognise my email. ???

Hi Reg (and Peter), the new forum is hosted by a completely different company from this one, you will need to re-register (as explained in my original post).
Make sure you are using the ‘Sign Up’ section which is for new members rather than the ‘Login’ section which is for those already registered.
Jon.

Hi Andy,

There isn’t a PM facility as such...but I need to have a play about with a few things to see what can be done...I’m hoping for a work-around, but not guaranteeing anything at this stage.
I’ll let you know if I make any progress.

I'm in the same boat with Reg and Peter. The "sign-up" section takes me to the same page as "log in", asking for email and password and recognizing neither. Kinda sucks at the moment, but no worries if the old version lasts a while. Looks good from the outside, though!

bbq

When you hit the Login/sign up button it should take you to a page that says 'Log In'.
Underneath this, it say "New to this site? Sign Up" - click the 'Sign Up' bit and register there.

Hope that helps.

Jon.
