Anyone looking at my CD racks at home would realise I listen to a large variety of music. But you certainly wouldn't think so looking at my Bandcamp page! I've been purchasing loads of new electronic music on Bandcamp lately. Music from Mexico, Czechia, Malta, Russia, Argentina, The Marshall Islands, Poland, Hungary, Serbia, Spain, Belgium, Sweden, Norway, Finland, The Netherlands, France, Greece, and even a few from little old York, UK. This year I've branched out into more varieties of electronic: progressive house, deep house, chip tunes, and more. Here are some of the artists I've supported in 2018:

Each one below is a link to listen to the music...

SPECIMEN
Стереополина
Señor Glitch
Anubis
Gold & Thorns
pixelorb
Dolphin Smiling
Road Lizard
The Dead Lazers
Dokounta
Meta
Ctrl-Z
Benjamin LAZZARUS
The Gaye Device
Flacton
DARK STIR
Meta Micro
Unkempt Whale
Gabe Knox
Matthias
Calm Drama
Noniep
THE APOTHECARY
BOAN
ZALZA
Super Robotic Encounters
Rainbow Clash
Enisle
John Triste
Noisefever
Horse Head Stetson
Maduro
Selfish Boy
Snowblind Vision
First Aid 4 Souls
Ricardo Peron
Equinoxious
And then so clear
Kevin Lux
Juan Contreras, in both DATA and SONOMA.

Señor Glitch is quite fun in a lo-fi way.
Road Lizard is good in spite of the homicidally loud kick drum (you can hear it being damped out at the top by the recording software, it's so high in the mix).
Noisefever is pleasantly upbeat.
Selfish Boy has a really nice fibrous bassline.

I don't tend to like electronic dance music with the 'duff, duff' beat as its just everywhere.

John, you may like Keith Canisius. He does big shiny dreampop soundscapes (there's a monster synth riff that kicks in on the second track at 2:28):

Hi Jim,

Thanks for listening thru my list.

I always enjoy your suggestions, and I hope you keep making them. But this one just wasn't my cup of tea - the music's great, but I couldn't get past the vocals being above the Louis Philippe range.

cheers, John

Cool cover!

- Budd Box – Harold Budd

I thought the print quality on the reissued Budd Box could have been better.
