I thought that this seemed very familiar. Hutch played on a demo - Space Oddity - in 1969. Hermione was a ballet dancer. I got to think that Letter to Hermione was written for her.

I mean here in America we were not aware of such things until the Ryko Sound + Vision box set came out. We would hear Top 40 AM, the beginning of Album Orientated Radio in FM and there would be tours. Even Rolling Stone lacked the coverage to spread the word. I was a subscriber for years. Friends of mine had access to Billboard. Year's later, here I am on the Bill Board talking music. :|

I remember snippets regarding David Jones as a mod, talking on some subject. I used to have an album of cover songs. I think The Port of Amsterdam and the Drowned Girl was on it. He worked at the BBC if I remember. So they should have footage. Should be interesting. Mid-60's London.

Everybody has to start somewhere.

Went to see the Holy Holy gig at Liverpool Philharmonic on Sat,fantastic show whole place was dancing .They played full MWSTW and full Ziggy album plus extra tracks which I wont say in case anyone else going to this tour .Great band but icing on the cake for me is that I met Tony Visconti and his daughter (who plays sax and acoustic guitar in the band) in the retaurant across the road ,had a few words and a handshake..made my day !
