I smile while exercising. Sometimes I laugh. Does this mean I'm happy crazy? It coukd be worse.

Yes, and YES! :o

You know why? You appreciate being alive! I can just tell! THAT is the kind of crazy I wanna go! :P

It'll be some kind! And I'm not sure how much time I have left! I just hope I dont become a desperate lonely hobbyist, or a survivalist maniac... I'd be ok turning into an alien chaser type maybe...

Probably I'll just be the yelling at the sidewalk kind though... sigh... :(

This could get deep, but it isn't meant to be sad of maudlin 8)

One night almost 14 years ago I was lying in a hospital bed and in another room Signor Fellini was being told I would most probably die before morning.

I didn't, I'm a stubborn wee madam and seldom do what people expect :D

Every morning when I wake up I just want to grab life with both hands. You're so right, none of us know how much time we have, so do it! I go running in the rain and I laugh because I'm so happy to be able to run, and to feel the rain on my face.

I suspect than given the opportunity most would be unable to do much more than sit an ponder their imagined fate over and over again in order to not have to grab life by the scruff of the neck and actually make changes happen. You know, I am quite proud of my auntie.

So very well-expressed.

Have been thinking along these lines recently as well.

Glad you made the morn. :)

Sometimes "Paul's Grandfather" (aka "the clean old man") as portrayed Wilfrid Brambell in "A Hard Day's Night" in his inscrutability reminds me of certain photographs of James Joyce.

Didn't realise Paul handpicked Brambell for the part.

Haven't seen very many "Steptoe and Son" episodes but I know Brambell was the rag-and-bone man in it and that "Sanford and Son" was based on it.

Didn't know Brambell who left us in 1985 was posthumously investigated in Operation Yewtree for alleged abuse of boys in the back rooms of the Jersey Opera House.

Funny that Brambell was called "a clean old man" by The Beatles in "A Hard Day's Night" and called "a dirty old man" by his on-screen son in "Steptoe and Son".

This LP is seen briefly at the beginning of one scene in "A Hard Day's night" ...

Just saw this: Has anyone seen the handwritten lyrics display at the V&A 60s exhibition? It's a great collection and includes some Beatles original lyric sheets. The best, imo, is McCartney's handwritten lyrics to 'I Want To Hold Your Hand'. And up in the corner, is Lennon's writing: "7/10. See me!"
