Diddya know that the proper genitive for inhabitants of Venus (should they exist) is actually Venereal, not Venusian. Venusian was an second choice as medicine had already taken the word venereal.

On 6 February 1918, propertied British women over the age of 30 were granted the right to vote.

Diddya know that the same 1918 Act granted the right to vote to ALL men? Prior to that, they had to have some form of property entitlement. Around 40% of men had no vote.
And diddya know that until the 1832 'Reform' Act, women ( in theory - there can't have been many who exercised the right ), had the right to vote anyway, and were specifically excluded in that Act. Unbelievable innit?

What I didn't know is was anyone actually reading any of these? Thank you Dean. Great additions. It's funny how recent some things seem even though some happened well over a hundred years ago. But it's true, things take time. Especially attitudes and bureaucracy.

On 12th March 1967 Jimi Hendrix played the Troutbeck Hotel,Ilkley,West Yorkshire. On the way there he stopped off at Harry Ramsden's in Guiseley for fish & chips.Hendrix decided to crank up the volume during the second song to the dislike of local Plod who stopped the show, causing mayhem resulting in damage to fixtures & fittings.

Russia and environs is so massive it covers eleven time zones.

The word 'amen' appears 773,692 times in the King James Bible. Or so I've read.
