JEAN THE MACHINE

[Verse 1]
Whatever happened to Jean, the machine?
She used to live down the hall from me
And all of the boys in the band
Miss her so bad now, ain't it pitiful?
She made her way from Hungary
A refugee with a voice like Callas
But somehow she couldn't get on
So she took it off at the, the local Palace

[Chorus]
(Jean come back!)
Why'd you go now?
(Jean come back!)
Things are slow now
(Jean come back!)

[Verse 2]
My landlady said Jean's a Commie spy
And each time I asked for the reason why
My landlady said it's a front
She bumps and grinds codes to an audience of immigrants
It blows my mind when I think of Jean
Every night with a new routine
'Cos I play drums in the band
She used me as part of her dirty Commie plan

[Chorus]
(Jean come back!)
We forgive you!
(Jean come back!)
Boy Scouts honour!
(Jean come back!)
Spiro Agnew!
(Jean come back!)
To the Bolshoi!
(Jean come back!)
To your homeland!
(Jean come back!)
Bring the microfilm!

[Outro]
Thank you

- Jean The Machine - Scott Walker

The Human League were cool for their first two records, experimental Synths.......

But then they went POP with Dare, made them popular but really of no further interest....

Yeh, there ya go, moit ... how ya going ? That's precisely the era I'm referencing . That's what that pic of Maria Butina that I posted on the page previous reminds me of .

Of course Maria's hair is very long in back ... and, yes, it's in a ponytail but the illusion of that front-facing photo' is still valid . 8)

The main thing, though, for me now, Maria not only brings to mind the Sylvian track of the same name, as all people named Maria have done since 1987 AD ... but, all things considered, she's now Walker's Jean The Machine as well . :)

Ooh look! more Novibollocks Just as the govt is getting itself covered in Brexcrement again, how convenient.
Next thing you know, we'll simply 'have to' drop some more bombs on Syria.
Well at least we know what these Russian suspects look like.

You think it's concocted/fabricated to distract from Brexit?

Certainly got it out of the headlines today didn't it. Gives May her comfort blanket of wrapping herself in the flag, puts pressure on Euro allies and US to act against Russia. Any one who dares to question the official narrative ( ie. Corbyn) can be called out as a traitorous conspiracy theorist. Can also be used to manufacture consent for more intervention in Syria. Quite useful on the whole for a fag end government heading for the rocks.

Same time Same place ? :?

Well, we stateside just prior or just following the Brexit [can't remember] were shown Nigel yelling at the EU elites for trying to provoke Putin, poking the Russian bear followed by, "Who do you think you are" ?

When you've got that many Russian oligarchs living all over England, not just London, I can't see how anyone would be surprised by anything that happens to a Russian spy, especially one who was called a traitor by Putin himself on Russian television, getting poisoned .

We used to have a jingle for some product in the '70s on TV that went, "We did it before ... we can do it again" .

As much as you guys hate May, who, by the way, never wanted a Brexit, I think "we did it before, we can do it again" is applicable to poisoning traitors, like Sergei, like Alexander or whoever else .

DO NOT BETRAY THE FATHERLAND .
