I appreciate that Mr J. Page has a rather low stock amongst some on this forum but anyone with just a passing interest in mid to late Victorian architecture and Pre-Raphaelite art need to check out this rare chance to see some of the Tower House in all its ornate glory.

Hopefully as "guardian" of this property Page will do the right thing and bequeath it to the National Trust.

As some of the cast of Minder would have said "a rather nice gaff" 8)

There was another Burges house - Knighthayes Court in Devon - on TV last night, in BBC4's "Lost Masterpieces". Should be available on BBC iPlayer for those of you who can access it.

Have always loved that gaff and the stories surrounding it .

Even have it on a Google Alert .

The latest news is that Jimmy was [and still in as of August] in a conflict with his neighbour, Robbie Williams, over noise having to do with RW's additions to his gaff .

Imagine Robbie Williams moving in as your neighbour, undertaking major excavation & construction work, and then loudly imitating Robert Plant and playing Black Sabbath and Deep Purple at high volume, just to annoy you.

That's the claim made in this new report: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-46855232

If true, I have some sympathy with Jimmy Page.

Still love him after all these years, even after the Olympic red bus debacle.

I like that string of words, Olympic Red Bus Debacle .

It'd be a neat band name or album title.

Every time I think of Jimmy Page I think of this irresistibly impish interview from 1963 :
