Haven’t thought about Ken Nordine in a while but I remember his LP called
Colors was a fave for a while.
I consider
Colors to be in the same genre as
Stones by Emil Richards.
The Bill Nelson track called
Atom Shop it sounds to me to be Ken Nordine’s voice starts it off. In fact I think it’s a snippet from
Word Jazz 
followed by a just-as-persuasive voice, namely the voice of William S. Burroughs.
WSB had a voice the opposite of Ken’s, both in the same tradition, I guess, really, the tradition probably started by “Uncle Bill” Burroughs.
