Thanx Sue and Angie, looking forward to meeting you both, sorry you will not be there Pete, I was really looking forward to meeting you, like you say, perhaps another year.

Forgot to ask, where is the Friday night shindig then?

Last year was my first Nelsonica, and what a great day it was! I'm gutted this year though, as I'll be in the US on holiday when it happens this year. See you in 2010, Bill!javascript:emoticon('')

Hi everyone, as the famed Nelsonica 09 event is getting closer, I must ask two really basic questions. I'm arriving by train from Leeds, so I need to know:-

* What time does the event start ?
(I don't want to be 'hanging around' too long before the start.

* What time does it finish ?
(The last train to Leeds is about 10:30)

I really don't want to be running out to catch a train and miss any of the event. I don't want to miss the last train either !

yours etc. David (Major Snagg)

Hi Major:
Last year I believe it started at 12:00 noon and I remember leaving around Midnight by the time the auction had ended.

Thanks for that, but it looks like I may be having to leave early . . .aw shucks . . . I hope that doesn't mean I'll miss any of Bill's performance !

We aim to start at 12 pm, (noon,) with the first video presentation of the day. The official closing 'ceremony' occurs around 11 in the evening but, generally there's an ongoing 'aftershow' scenario (o.k, PARTY!) that sometimes continues into the early hours depending upon the mysterious and unpredictable 'jollification' factor! (And how many female fans Emiko allows me to cram on my lap before old age banishes me off to bed!)

Actually Major, if you want to hang about, perhaps you can arrange for some kindly Nelsonian to drop you at the end of festivities at York Station as it's open 24 hours. I have since been told that the trains run all night bound for the airport as it is a hub for the Northeast.

PS Bill I never even knew about anything aftershow last year, plus was far too knackered after walking so much and standing all night at HC gig the night before. Blame disability in my case, not old age just yet haha!!!
