And for what it's worth, I'm glad it's back at the Park. I like it there, we've had 2 great Nelsonicas there already, so thanks to the team for choosing that venue. Let's hope there'll be more bar staff this year though. (even though I won't be drinking this year, I'll be (almost) tea-total   )

Unless there is a change of heart, I think you'll find that you will be well down on numbers this year. I normally travel down with a couple of friends but none of us can even contemplate the prices being quoted for an overnight stay in York on the Friday.

The only alternative for us would be to get a return train ticket and travel back home on the Friday Night after the live performances.

Given that this is the only weekend on which the musicians will be available, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE reconsider the decision not to sell 'performance only' tickets. I can't believe that when that decision was taken anyone appreciated that the choice of performance dates would put the price of attendance so far beyond the reach of regular Nelsonica attendees.

Yours in hope.

TS

To be fair TS, you don't know how much the ticket price is going to be yet, and Russ has already booked his room at a BandB for 25 quid. So the weekend can be as cheap or as expensive as you choose to make it. There's no reason you and your mates cann't come if you book your BandB early enough. You've had 9 months notice after all.

Last time it was in York we stayed at a Premier Lodge a few miles out , just booked my room for £44 and if for any reason you can't make it you can cancel up to 1pm on the day without charge.
