As the above announcement replaces the previous thread about the concert/exhibition, I thought I should repeat my earlier clarification regarding the nature of the actual performance:

There will be two distinct performances, separated by an interval. The first will be a Bill Nelson solo set and the second will showcase the Orchestra Futura trio, (made up of Theo Travis, Dave Sturt and myself.)

Both sets will be entirely instrumental, (ie: no vocals or rock-band style music.) There will be lots of improvisational and experimental material and I'm hoping to include piano and marimba as well as guitar. The performances will also feature projected video back-drops. Those of you who have attended my solo shows before, (or the recent Sheffield cinema concert,) will know what sort of thing to expect.

For those who favour a more band-oriented/retrospective/orthodox song based approach, next year's UK tour with my 'Combo Deluxe' band will aim to celebrate the more vocal/rock aspects of my music.
But 'The Art School Ascended On Vapours Of Roses' will, as the event's title suggests, focus purely on the 'art music' approach. :)

Just to say this...
The Clothworker's Hall is a superb venue...sight lines and sound all excellent (engineers allowing)....one of the best places to see Bill Nelson live in my opinion.
And it's in Yorkshire...

There are directions on the School of Music's site, it doesn't say the distance, but it mentions a free bus from the railway station.
