Sorry for the late reply, Banality.

First of all, can I say I think it is brilliant you want to bring your wife and daughter along. I wish my Dad had been that brilliant when I was eight.

However, we are sorry that there isn't a family ticket. Costs were worked out with everyone paying the same price. This enquiry has never cropped up before with Nelsonicas past, and I'm sure you can understand that it is too late to rectify this oversight now. I can promise that for any future Bill Nelson related events, this will be taken into consideration.

Again, sincere apologies,

Ian

Forgive a stupid question

How exactly do you book tickets if you are in the UK? I'll be coming from Aberdeen and I need to purchase non-returnable rail/flight tickets.
My concern would be, booking travel and then discovering I cannot get tickets for the gig.........

Apologies if I've missed something

Felix,

As the flyer says, send a cheque to Ian, Man in the rexine pyjamas, with a stamped self addressed envelope and he'll send the ticket(s) on to you...it a system that works just fine, have never had any problems the last 4 years and I'm sure you will get the ticket(s) you apply for if you send off NOW!!!

Andy

Thanks Andy, I was trying to find a link in order to 'book' tickets but no joy!

Sorry about this felix 1...there is a link but perhaps it needs its own thread/sticky/announcement, so that it's easier to spot.
If I'm not mistaken, you'll find it at

http://www.billnelson.com/html/park/boxoffice.php

Hope that helps.

I'm still no clearer as to whether I can book or reserve tickets online

I've checked the box office several times to no avail :?

Do I simply post a cheque and hope for the best?

Again, apologies if I am missing something.

Just post a cheque for the amount of the tickets you want, plus a SAE to man in the rexine pyjamas......and he'll post your tickets back to you, simple!!

Further to the request for cheaper children's tickets and Ian's reply to Banality's query, I think it's fair to try and explain the situation a little more throughly:
In an ideal world, it would be nice to be able to offer a children's ticket. But, in terms of the October 1st concert and exhibition, offering cheaper tickets, sadly, is simply not economically viable. The production costs for the event are far from modest and the ticket price has been set to cover as much of those costs as possible without hiking the price even higher.
There are a limited number of seats available and, to meet the production costs and general budget, these need to be sold at the price that has been set. In a more orthodox and less financially demanding situation, (and with a larger capacity venue,) it may have been possible to factor in a cheaper ticket, but for this particular event, it isn't economically viable.
Perhaps, for the next Nelsonica, we can figure out a way to build such a discount ticket into our budget. Hope you'll understand.
Many thanks... :)

Okay Sue

Obviously I'm just concerned about forking out for travel without any solid means of securing tickets given that there are a 'limited' amount.
