'A VERY SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:
Bill Nelson's private archive of unreleased 1980 PCM-F1 demos and sketches has, for several years, represented the Holy Grail of lost music for many of his fans. Bill, always pre-occupied with his future rather than his past, has been reluctant to make these recordings public, much to the frustration of his hardcore audience.

However, as a special surprise for those fans who have supported this year's 40th recording anniversary concert and exhibition, ('The Art School Ascended On Vapours Of Roses,') Bill has agreed to make available to attendees, as a personal gift, an exclusive, hand made CDR of six of his favourite songs from the PCM archives. This rare and collectable item is to be titled 'Hip Pocket Jukebox: A mini-album of previously unreleased Bill Nelson Apocrypha from the private PCM F1 archives.'

Each CDR will be personally signed and numbered by Bill and individually registered to each concert ticket purchaser. The six tracks will be presented in their raw, unmastered form.

Please note, to qualify for this exclusive free gift, the ticket purchaser must attend the concert-exhibition in Leeds on October 1st 2011. It will not be possible to simply buy a ticket and have the mini-album posted on to you later. Also, as each copy is hand-made, there will be no extra copies for sale via the website after the box office is closed. This is an event only, customised item.

The tracks on the mini-album are all vocal-based and the track listing will be as follows:

1: 'Blown Away.'

2: 'A Universe To Give You.'

3: 'Silver Tears.'

4: 'Where Do We Go?'

5: 'I'll Be Everywhere.'

6: 'Maybe Strange Imagination.'

All of these songs were written and recorded in Bill's home studio during the 1980s and have not previously been made available to the public.'

Well that's certainly a nice surprise. A gesture that Bill didn't need to make, but a very generous one. I for one am glad I'm able to go to the show. This will be a very special bonus for an event I was already looking forward to :)

Are these the tracks that fans chipped in money for to buy the machine to allow them to be played/transfered etc? :?:

No cake stall then  nevermind people will have to make do with this

In all seriousness what a wonderful gift from an artist to his fans - above and beyond the call of duty.

A wonderful gift from an artist to those fans/persons who are able to attend the concert.

As someone who attended all ten Nelsonica's I always felt for those who couldnt and missed out on the convention CD's. A subject much debated in the past. I thought it a great idea when later convention CD's were made available for purchase.

mmm, don't know what to say......................

this is very very generous and a wonderful idea! And it really shows how Bill cares for his fans.

On the other hand I am from Germany and I really can't attend the concert. And when I tell you that I like Bill's early 80's output most, you can imagine how "jealous" I am......
