I received my copy here in California from Cherry Red via the "DC Fulfillment Center in Colorado" yesterday. That's one beautiful package, isn't it? I like all the memorabilia artwork. I also happen to like BOC so...

Just finished CD One. I actually had never heard Northern Dream and was pleasantly surprised to realize that even back then "Bill was Bill." For some reason I was expecting more of a "folksy" sound akin to 60's folk music. (Must have been the b/w picture of a long-haired Bill playing an acoustic guitar, if memory serves). The rest of CD One, wow.

Time to go, the "Play" button is waiting impatiently for some fond attention...

Just having a little Twitter and Facebook campaign to educate the uninformed and misinformed using some 'catchy' one liners (less than 140 characters) such as

Forget the x-factor, get the real deal - Bill Nelson - 40 years of musical excellence www.cherryred.co.uk/shopexd.asp?id=3379

If anyone has any catchy headlines let me know by posting here.

I finally got the cash together for this set... Cherry Red Records (records!?) was the least expensive and it ships now, where Amazon USA has it as a pre-order at over $100, almost $20 more than Cherry Red.

I also managed to find and buy the 5 CD BBD set, the case came cracked, CD's loose, but it's sold out and I refuse to give it up over a broken case. Mine. All Mine. My Precious.

Lots of Mr Bill's tunes headed my way... and I finally get to hear some of Jet Boy, which is the only CD of Bill's I've never heard! <cry>

Merry Christmas Bill Nelson!
(in case I forget later!)

If your Top 10 Guitarist list doesn't include Bill Nelson, throw it away. Get 40 years of musical excellence http://tinyurl.com/cfbw82o

Finally got mine! Quite the extraordinary set though have most of it elsewhere. Just wanted to report on the mastering which to me sounds much improved. Greater clarity throughout. Don't know why but tracks from Modern Music and Red Noise jumped out at me and sent shivers down my spine. I would love to see a Deluxe edition (pun intended!) of Sound on Sound with maybe a live show in its entirety as a bonus disk! All those in favour say "Aye!" Also hearing the "full" album remastered would be a dream.
Currently cranking through the whole set and reading Jules Verne's Paris in the 20th Century at the same time. Perfect soundtrack!
