Despite the weather situation I hope you all have a real good time. Wish I could be there... :)

Wow. I haven't been following the news. I hope everybody's rooms are still available. We are staying at the Park so it seems like we are okay. We hope that's the case for the rest of the out-of-towners. (If not, then there will be less competition at the merchandise tables! Maybe I can finally beat Andy George to something! Naw, I don't really mean that  ) And of course, that BN and entourage can navigate the roads.

See you all there..we hope!

Donger dude (sounds dirty doesn't it?), sorry you can't make it. We'll lift a pint for you (Alan Cawthorne will lift 6 or so  )

Just telephoned the Lady Anne Middleton's guest house and they're open for business. My daughter tells me there are diversions around the city and St Georges field is flooded if anyone was thinking of parking there. Of course, there is still time for the flood water to subside. I wish you all a safe journey.

Actually there's nothing dirty about it at all.
I was a percussionist in band class at school. Our teacher began calling me "gonger" because she liked the way I banged the gong. Well, as things happen with me, I became bored with the standard and began banging the gong in my own unique way. Better than the other boys. Hence, the girls started calling me "donger".

Of course that was maaaaany years ago and I don't bang the gong as well as I used too. :(

Cheers Merikan1!! Have a good weekend! Bang a gong!

Photos of the Day: Sept. 27, 2012
A man carries a a friend through floodwaters as the swell of the River Ouse flows through the city of York on September 26, 2012 in York, England. Heavy wind and rain have battered central and northern parts of the UK with more rain forecast. Swollen rivers are still threatening towns across Britain as rain water from hills makes it's way down.

And I thought that you were having your own Octoberfest and that was beer / ale / stout / porter / lager / whatever. With it only being water, carry on.
