Rosewood Vol 2 CD SOLD OUT

Well, I'm not too hip to torrents and P2P myself, but as an ex-moderator of a music forum I know a few who are. Generally, within a certain age group (the more er, mature fan) the emphasis is on downloading live bootlegs. You know, the stuff that comes out of Japan in droves of the "big hitters" like Zeppelin and Pink Floyd.

As for SW, he recently posted on Facebook about the evils of illegal downloads so he is a kindered spirit!

He's also a fan of yours too - Red Noise era and beyond.

If you have seen the documentary on him called Insurgentes you would know he hates the whole iPod "let's download some content" scene.

Anyhow the Rosewoods are great collections. Two of my faves. Very nice first thing in the morning.

That's a shame. I have seen it on eBay at reasonable starting prices.....

If my experiment with Bandcamp proves fruitful, I may, at some point in the future, re-issue the Rosewoods as download only albums...but we'll see. I need to follow the progress of 'Neon Cynics' first and find out if this actually is a route which will prove attractive to a sufficient number of my fans.

I gave a copy of 'Rosewood Vol 2' as a gift to my bandmate in Reptiel, Brian -- the one who is the bassist in Reptiel and also a librarian in the SFPL system -- and I suppose I'd also copied-and-pasted my post about Sir Stanley Spencer in my email letting him know that 'Rosewood Vol 2' had sold out. I sent him this CD via SOS a couple of months back but didn't hear back from him during rehearsals or otherwise what he'd thought of it. He's quite a John Fahey enthusiast and he enjoys playing acoustic guitar in a similar way ...

Just got this email a few minutes ago from him:

"Cool! Love the work of Sir Stanley Spencer!

Just listened to Rosewood v.2. Great stuff! Really like it! Lush and beautiful sounding."

This is a great morning for me!

I dare say there are a large number of us with plenty of 'suggestions' as to what we would like to see re-released as a digital download....I know I certainly have plenty to catch up on :oops:

However.....we should be patient and wait and see how this develops and respect Bill's freedom to choose for himself what he feels deserves a re-release
