Don't worry, Andre...I have no personal desire to go the download route for every release of mine. Major release new albums will, I pray, continue to be given the physical CD, limited edition treatment, at least as long as fans endorse and support my work via that particular route. The download option will simply be a convenience method of delivery for out-of-print, re-issue or willfully minority appeal material. :)

Bill it really is a nice alternative for those of us that maybe can't always get everything right away! I know its a big concession, and its much appreciated! 8) Neon cynics in particular was one I regretfully let slip through my fingers. Glad I'll get to hear the music.

Good points.

What a curious collection out there on iTunes ... quite a few more there since last checked ...

Yes; good points. I'm glad I had a chance to pick up the original physical copy.

For those of you who share similar attitudes to myself towards music, it's good to remember that downloads, whilst convenient and relatively cheap for some, have no collectability factor whatsoever. The CD or Vinyl album still retains its physical charm and 'objet d' art' quality whilst downloads are comparitively nebulous and far too easy to ignore, under-appreciate or dispose of. I suspect that those of my generation, (and many younger ones too,) may yet choose the physical album on their shelves, rather than the cheap disposable download option. It's horses for courses, of course, but I'll stick my neck out and predict that the physical format is far from dead.

Having said that, I'll now get back to work. Whilst the 'Blip!' album isn't out until June, I'm already more than half way through the album beyond that. (And I don't mean the Blip out-takes album either.) So, what's the title of the album on the drawing board? Not telling!

It's always good to have something you can hold in your hand... slip out the booklet and look at the artwork etc.

Oh, there's lots coming your way before I announce that...and by the time I do announce it, I will, by then, be already more than half-way through the creation of an ever further, (and further out,) album! Right now though, I'm exhausted after a long day of trying to complete the mix of a complex six or seven minute track for that very album, (of which I'm duty-bound to not divulge anything yet.) But, don't worry, by the time you've absorbed 'BLIP!' I'll be just about in a position to unveil yet another exciting chapter in your ever expanding Nelsonic universe! :D

I haven't played any of my vinyl in twenty years. When me and the missus move I'm buying a new turntable (probably a USB one).

Wildly interesting news, and then he tops it with even bigger news (teasers, actually), within the same thread. It's been quite a news day.
