Gosh...so there is! But of a deliberately out-there, Cecil Taylor kind...
All the wrong notes, but in precisely the right order!

Wasn't it Morcambe ,of Morcambe and Wise fame, that said to Andre Preview(sic) "I'm playing all the right notes, but not necessary
in the right order", and then slapped him around the face.......

I heard the clips of "Sparkle Machine" on SoundCloud and was impressed. It sounded a bit different, and i want Bill to be a bit different, I have now moved on from Be Bop Deluxe and the recent decades of solo material and i now hear something new in the clips i have heard. I look forward to hearing this album in full.

Ordered Wednesday online - auto acknowledgement email received straight back and .... There I was, happily believing my weekend listening joy was sorted, .... but alas no show - not even the "It's on its way!" email to comfort me!. Gutted!

First time SOS have not had a CD with me within two days of ordering .... slacking! Fancy, relative "newcomers" getting theirs before us "old timers" .... Envious? Me? No way! (Chunters under breath).

.... and I keep listening to the samples which makes the wait even worse! The "Saturnalia" excerpt has a definite "Orpheus In Ultraland" feel to it, which is a particular favourite of mine .. oh, and the other samples aren't too shabby either!! (Understatement of the year!).

Seriously, from the samples, I am sure it will continue to tickle the aural taste buds, as Bill has continually done for what I have realised is fast approaching 40 years in my case!

Now come on SOS .... I'm waiting ..... impatiently! :!: :D

I'm totally with you Voyager!
Ordered mine the same time as you, had an instant email reply but nothing since.
Had my nose pressed up against the window all morning hoping our postie would put another 'old timer' out of his misery, but sadly nothing

:( :( :(

The delay may be due to high demand, coupled with the weekend, (when SOS are closed,) plus Christmas post deliveries. I'm sure you'll get a delivery next week! :)
