One of my rarest albums, 'ALTAR PIECES' was an extremely limited edition, cassette-only release back in 1990. The music it contains was created for an event titled 'Opus Illuminatus,' held in Wakefield Cathedral, as part of the Wakefield Arts Festival of that year. The tracks have never been released on CD and the original cassettes are now highly prized collector's items.

I'm very pleased to announce this new, official, digital download version of 'ALTAR PIECES' which has been superbly remastered by my long time audio-engineer colleague and good friend John Spence using state-of-the-art digital technology and a great pair of ears!

This digital download album also features fabulous new artwork by David Graham which really suits the concept of the album.

For those of you who enjoy the more ambient and esoteric side of my work, this album is not only rare but essential. For those of you fortunate enough to own the original cassette release, this new remastered, re-designed version brings 'ALTAR PIECES' to you with a sonic clarity denied to the original.
It's now available for you to download, complete with downloadable PDFs of the terrific new artwork, exclusively from my Bandcamp page.

Here is a link which will take you there:

ENJOY! :D

Thank you so much, Bill! I'll be firing up the bank account momentarily for the download!

Cheers,
Roger

My only regret is that my office computer is very slow, and I will have to wait till I get home tonight to buy the download :D

Bill, really appreciate the trouble you & Mr. Spence took to get Altar Pieces re-issued. Also a tip-o-the-hat to David Graham for the always exceptional artwork.

One I'd always hoped to get hold of.

Hey, I'm off to order it now!

Many thanks.

I am fortunate to own a cassette copy of Alter Pieces, but I will be downloading this at the weekend to listen to it again. Thanks Bill; I hope you will remaster and release other oldies and rarities.

This is a win-win situation! I am so glad to finally own this essential piece of the Nelson canon. The artwork is superb! Thank you!
