is there / will there be - a way to buy Altar Pieces as a CD?

thanks

Thanks for the enquiry, Michael, but I have to apologise and say that, unfortunately, there won't be a CD version of 'Altar Pieces.' The re-issue is digital download only.
However, as noted above in this thread, you can download the album from my Bandcamp page in either mp3 or FLAC format. The latter is same as CD quality. Once you have downloaded it, (and the artwork,) you can burn the tracks to a blank CDR, print out the artwork and, with the use of a standard jewel case, have your own personal CD hard copy of the album. :)

Not sure you are going to get anything more official than that! When I bought my Beatles CD I didn't have John T. Beatle give me the thumbs up personally, I can tell you that! :P

I've downloaded Altar Pieces this evening and burned a copy to disc. I just need t oremember to email the artowrk to my works emial tomorrow and I can print those off there.

I've got the music on now and it really sounds great. One of Bill's best instrumental albums in my view.

Thanks Bill for sorting out this reissue.

Mick

Yes I do and yes it is. :D

After listening to a cdr transfer from cassette for years it's brilliant to have a pristine flac version. Thanks for making this available, incidentally it would be interesting to know whether the downloads will exceed 500 since this has never been available on CD unlike most of the other downloads.

Being virtual product, I would imagine it will be available until Bill and SOS decide to take it down, if ever. In spite of the usual minor esoteric rumblings, Bill choosing to offer downloads is (as Quinault said) a win-win scenario. We are able to acquire the music we may be missing and Bill gets paid. And a happy by-product of making this specific download virtual makes spotting anyone trying to sell a CD version on eBay an obvious bootleg. Surely Bill is smiling with this release.

Indeed. I transferred my original copy to CD, but couldn't do much about the tape hiss. Now the atmospheric nature of this music can be fully appreciated. :)
