Back in 1984 a 1985 I lived in Watertown Massachusetts and would often frequent the rehearsal space for the Boston band The Dark and Life on Earth. It was located above Family Liquors. That's where I first met Reeves. He would jam with the band and occasionally we would chat about music. Talk of XTC would come up and I am certain Bill and Be Bop as I was a big fan. Fond memories indeed and now this new record to bring it all back full circle. Pretty amazing guitar players. Reeves, if you do remember me, Philip, I'm now in Newton and am looking forward to you figuring a way to get Bill to play at The Sinclair or The Royale. Drag Andy Partridge into the loop and it'll sell out fast! Maybe Charles Hayward on drums? How about Andy Clark?! Theo Travis on wind and horns. Looking forward to the new album.

Interesting reading 'seakret' and what a great line up that would be, though I do no know who Charles Hayward is. I do, however, know who Andy Partridge is as I'm a big fan of XTC and I was thinking wouldn't it be good if BN would consider doing a series of 'duo' albums with other musicians such as Partridge, Peter Hammill, Robert Fripp etc. If the results of such collaborations are anything like the Reeves one then not only Dreamsville but the whole music galaxy is up for a revolution! I first came across Charles' work, (many years ago now,) with the band 'This Heat,' an amazing group of musicans who embraced elements of jazz and experimental music in their work. Charles is an extraordinairy drummer/percussionist/musician who I've long admired and respected.
Here's a link to some info about him:
