We have been provided "the missing link" with my thanks.

And this:

I am surprised that this got up so quickly.

I never burn BN CD's as a rule (considering how irreplaceable they are I probably should).

I was thinking of burning a copy of Loom (when it arrives) and replacing track 15 so the CD is as when originally envisaged.

Many thanks, Bill. Above & beyond service.

I've placed the track into my iTunes copy, in it's proper place the way you originally intended.

I did the same, making it all "correct". :)

Don't know that it is "above and beyond service"... It's a mistake that someone made and that needed to be corrected. Normally a replacement CD would be issued to all buyers (as with a recent Siouxsie & The Banshees release) but that is probably not economically viable for Bill.

You can bet your bottom bibby it isn't. Printing up another 500 cds just for one track? No chance! Before long you'd see an original copy of the album going up for sale on ebay with a 'collectable' tag and crazy price due to the error being on it. And besides, some folks didn't manage to snag 'Quiet Bells,' but if they got 'Loom' they have a track from 'Quiet Bells' included for free! And those who didn't got 'Loom,' get the title track as a free download anyway...so, all in all, I'd say that's pretty good service!

Seasons Greetings Bill. As a diligent buyer of all your releases (still waiting for Loom to arrive here in Canada though) I am happy that you made this available as a download. I certainly sympathize with you on the costly repress of a 500 cd run. I'm somewhat perplexed though why you wouldn't have made the download available at least in the same resolution as the rest of the music on the cd instead of a lower resolution mp3. Yes, unfortunately I'm an audiophile and hate the sound of mp3's. Give me uncompressed 24/96 files anyday :D .

The missing track, available from Bill's Bandcamp page is available in a multitude of formats including FLAC.
You need to select which format you would prefer.

Jon.
