Hello Geno - I got my download code today & it has worked no problem. Here are the steps that worked for my PC (might be different if you have a MAC?) Click on the link on the e-mail which will take you to the correct page on the Ditto Music website. You will see the white box to enter the download code provided in the e-mail – copy & paste this code into the box & click “OK”. Near the foot of the page you will see in bold black type Six Strings for Sara. Underneath this, in red you will see Download Track. Point your mouse at this & it will change colour to blue. Left-click on this with your mouse & a download box will open up asking you top "Open" or "Save". Choose "Save" to deliver it to your PC hard-drive - put it in a suitable folder. If you have broadband it won't take long to download, mine took around 15 seconds. Click on the file & it should open in Windows Media Player or a similar Player. Sit back & listen – it’s a lovely piece, and when considered with what we have read about Sara's life and the aims of the charity - well it’s very touching & moving. Bill plays very expressively throughout.

Hope this helps.

I don't know if this has been covered elsewhere, but the download seems to be 80 Kbps which is roughly radio broadcast quality...I think.

I'm not too concerned, as the idea is to make money for a very worthwhile cause...but I would love to make a good quality CD copy to keep with the downloaded artwork.

Hmmm, yeah 80 Kbps is a LOW quality mp3 :( - it doesn't sound too bad for 80, but it was advertised as being 320 Kbps! So we should have got a better sounding version :? Doh!

Edit: Ah, I see Ditto are in the process of resolving this - great stuff :)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've just recieved this message from Lee at Ditto Music. please see date

"Hi Ged

Sorry for delay in contact. Have been in Ireland since Saturday with the Fun Lovin Criminals tour.

Am trying to get through my emails now and sort everything out.

Not sure what happened with the track mate, we put up the one that was sent.

Will change it over for you tonight.

We have had a few emails about not being able to download the track and I have told Matt who was sorting it out with digital.

Its very strange as we haven’t had this problem before.

I can assure that we will have gotten to the bottom of it tomorrow and anyone that has emailed me I will personally reply to.

I will upload the new track to our server and give everyone the link to download it from there.

This also goes for the people with the poor quality version.

Hope that’s ok, an other problems let me know.

Best

Lee"

My personal and sincere apologies for any inconvenience.

A million thanks for the fantastic support!

Hi everyone I have just recieved this E mail from Lee at Ditto
The ID that your friend has received would be down to his media player and would not have anything to do with the song.

The low bit rate version of the song caused a few complications.

The site are re uploading and plan on sending a mail out to everyone who has paid to say that they can use their codes again.

It will be tomorrow now.

Best

Lee
Hope this explains a few things to those few people who have been having problems - Thanks Ged

Just downloaded it. Sounds lovely. My i-tunes seems to think it's called Winter Comes Around Again by Globe, :? but it's very definitely Bill. 8)

my replacement download also plays beautifully.... and is called "Winter comes around again"....

My first ever download: now to work out how to put it on a CD to listen to properly: computer speakers are about the size of a large letter stamp!

Hi

I've currently got the 80kpbs version, do I need to email them to get the replacement version. BTW is the new version 320kpbs?
