We no longer talk about the 'Q' word........

I quite fancy a chippie for a change, but no doubt my Welsh companions will prefer Tapas or Meze or Sashimi and other fancy fayre like that......

A chippie? I had forgotten all about them. Not many in the smoke. They seem to only exist outside the reach of the underground. Mind you, oop north there be mushy peas! :D Lovely.

The restaurant at 'The Guy Fawkes Inn' near the Minster does a rather neat version of fish n' chips. As does 'The Ship Inn' at Acaster Malbis, a village along the river from York, (for those of you with cars.) But the latter may be flooded so check first if you fancy driving out to it.
