Cubase 10... I’m considering obtaining Cubase 9 or 10. After reading various reviews it seems that the jury is still out on whether Cubase version 9 is in fact the better version to have over the newest version (10). I had the same problem with Adobe Audition. I have a very old, but ultra reliable version 1.5 I tried the most recent version and found it to be inferior to the much older version. Hope that you find Cubase 10 to your liking.

Hi Major. After using Cubase 4 for many years I upgraded to 9.5 Pro last year and love it. I seem to think that if you buy 10 you can downgrade to 9 or 9.5.
One of the reasons I recommended it to Bill is that it's big, bright and colourful on the screen...my eyesight isn't as bad as Bill's but I struggle to see the screen detail on ProTools and Logic.
:D :D

Thanks for your comments John. Knowing that you use Cubase 9.5 is enough of a recommendation for me to go ahead with it. Being of a ‘certain age’ a large colourful display is a great help. I hope that Bill shares his progress with Cubase with us all. I hope to buy a small midi keyboard controller to access and play virtual instruments to add to my guitar recordings.
Cheers.

Check out a recent Sound-On-Sound magazine review of Cubase 10. Whilst it's not a massive upgrade from 9.5 the improvements are hailed as being very useful.

Steinberg offers a free trial of all the Cubase 10 programs from Elements to Pro, so that is worth checking out.
